National Assisted Living Week, September 8–14

Each year, the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) sets aside one week to honor the compassion and dedication of assisted living communities across the U.S. This year, the theme for National Assisted Living Week is the “Inspiring Generations.” This meaningful week will take place September 8–14, 2024, and provide a heartfelt tribute to our residents, their loved ones and our dedicated team members who are so important to our American House assisted living communities.

According to LaShuan Bethea, NCAL’s Executive Director, this year's theme offers the opportunity to reflect on the incredible journey of assisted living, recognizing both where it’s been and where we're going. It’s an opportunity to truly appreciate the work being done and the amazing people who inspire those around them in our communities.

At American House, our belief is if you live well, you will be well. We hope that each day our teams’ dedicated efforts not only ensure our residents receive compassionate care, positive experiences and dignified interaction, but also inspire the families and friends who visit our communities and provide them with valuable peace of mind. Since its inception by NCAL in 1995, National Assisted Living Week has been a time to come together and celebrate the rich stories of our residents and daily experiences that make assisted living so unique.
