World War II veteran celebrates 100th birthday and gives advice to others | Good Morning America

Lee. was drafted at 19 years old and served in the Marines during World War II. He was stationed in Guadalcanal – Solomon Islands.

Lee attended business school after he was out of the service and studied industrial photography. He spent his career working for the State of Michigan at the Northville State Hospital and later was a supervisor for the City of Detroit.

He married his wife, Lula in October 1960. They were married for 19 years before she passed away in 1992. Lee has two sons, two daughters, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Lee now resides at American House Park Place in Warren, MI.
