Royal Oak man faced with homelessness, finds a home at American House West Bloomfield.

A 72-year-old blind resident of a motel was losing his home and facing homelessness. The American House team was alerted to Frank Sawicki's situation and worked together with his friends to relocate him to American House West Bloomfield.

This is a feel-good story that has many heroes. And when there was an outpouring of community support for the man who sold pencils on a Royal Oak street corner, it wasn't long before Detroit's local WXYZ Ch.7 sent their team to cover the story.

"It is wonderful to hear stories with a happy ending for a senior in need. So thankful we could do our part to make Frank's life better," said Jeff Floyd, President of American House.
