American House has an extensive Emergency Preparedness Plan in place:

• All Communities have submitted their Emergency Power Plans to their local Emergency Management Office and all plans have been approved.

• Emergency Power Plans include a designated (emergency powered) cooling area in each community that provides residents a comfortable area maintained at or below 81 degrees.

• Priority fuel delivery agreements, natural gas lines and/or expanded fuel tanks have been secured to ensure the availability of fuel to power generators a minimum of 96 hours.

• All team members have been trained on the specifics of our Enhanced Emergency Power Plan and how to implement the necessary protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.

All emergency supplies have been verified. Food, transportation, water and pharmacy agreements are in place.

Part of American House’s Emergency Plan includes provisions that allow for regular updates and communications to families. Please visit your community’s website and Facebook page for ongoing, up-to-date information.
